I recently contracted KPM Home Improvements to install a basement handrail for my father. Communication was excellent and they had it installed in no time flat. When they came by originally to inspect my stairway they offered a customized recommendation and even selected a handrail that would be easier for my father to grab based on the shape of his hand. That’s what I call customization!

They work with local suppliers such as Douglas Lumber using their expertise to recommend specific parts such as the oak handrail that was installed. The handrail is solid oak, easy to grab and very sturdy. Pricing was very reasonable. I have also contracted them to install and seal a new door. KPM is the way to go rather than the Home Depots - they don’t offer the personalization, service or value that KPM offers!

Sonia and Ken did my kitchen renovation in July/August of 2017. I initially started working with Sonia in February to pick out all the items I would need so they could be ordered and delivered before they were needed. This worked great.

There were no delays. We had a meeting prior to starting the job that laid out the time line and the expected finish date.

The job was expected to take 8 weeks and they were finished in exactly 8 weeks.

I found them easy to work with and Sonia was in constant contact throughout the job making sure we were aware of everything that was happening. I found that to be reassuring.

Thanks to them I am now enjoying my beautiful new kitchen and bathroom.

My family has hired KPM on multiple occasions over many years to do large jobs and small.

Every job has been done beautifully and efficiently, thanks to Ken’s many, many skills and Sonia’s superb organizational skills. Ken has worked on our upstairs bathroom twice: Once to convert a closet into a cubicle for our washer/dryer, to convert our tub to a shower, and to put in handicapped-accessible toilet and grab bars; second to replace the flooring, paint, and put tile in the shower.

He completely redid our kitchen: counters, cabinets, flooring, paint. After a hot water heater disaster, he redid the finished side of our basement that had been flooded. Later, he put in a half bath in the basement. Most recently, he replaced the front of our shed and had the shed repainted. He has put a new roof on our house, garage, and shed. He has done many smaller things as well.

I depend on KPM for pretty much everything that I need done for the structures on my property.

Ken McKinley has put in a few doors and windows in my home. He is always on time to come and is meticulous. I had old weighted windows and he filled in where the weights were and even put in insulation.

He is extremely knowledgeable about many things so can solve problems as he is going along. Old houses notoriously have issues that are hidden, he isn’t afraid to deal with those hidden issues. At the end of the day he leaves a clean area. Never leaves a mess even if he is coming the next day. 

I have and will continue to recommend KPM for needed changes.

KPM installed 25 Harvey Tribute replacement windows in our 1930's-era home in July 2015, replacing the original windows and storms. We were beyond satisfied with all aspects of their work. Their original estimate for the work was fair and accurate.

The installation was completed on schedule and, most importantly, with meticulous care and attention to detail. When they were done there was absolutely no evidence that they had been there, other than our beautiful new windows! Our house was noticeably cooler for the remainder of the summer, and we cannot wait to enjoy warmer and more energy efficient home this winter.

We are 100% satisfied with KPM's work. We would hire them again in an instant, and would recommend them to anyone in need of replacement windows or any other home improvement project.

Our ‘master bathroom’ measures 5 ft x 7.5 ft. While we didn’t gain any more space or change the layout, the renovated space feels so much more open and bright.

Ken was wonderful to work with on this project. He was patient with the changes I made and offered great advice and suggestions on products. The craftsmen that he brought in to do the plumbing, plastering, painting, and glasswork were skilled, professional, and tidy. Everyone treated our home with care.

We are so satisfied that we are going to have Ken back to do the larger family bathroom! I can’t wait!
